Product Description Great simple full swing training aid that attaches to your actual club. Simple to set up and use. Guarantees proper alignment of clubface, address top of backswing and follow through positions - on plane!
Amazon.com Product Description Tired of practicing your swing for weeks on end with nothing to show for it? Turn to the Swingyde golf training aid, which helps you achieve greater distance and accuracy each time you step on the course. The Swingyde works intuitively, with a clip that attaches to the shaft of your club on one end, and a built-in rest that touches your left forearm on the other. The rest encourages your wrist to cock properly during the swing, helping improve your swing plane, swing tempo, clubface alignment, impact position, and follow through. Now you can know what it feels like to swing like a pro. The Swingyde is lightweight and easy to attach, and works for both right- and left-handed golfers.
Plastic wasteJuly 26, 2010 Roger Wade 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Maybe this can help some people, but to me it's nothing more than a cheap piece of plastic that is way over priced. I tried it several times but for the life of me, I couldn't understand why some of the golf pros would recommend this thing. Money, I suspect. Save your money and buy something that really works...
A Piece of Plastic!March 24, 2010 GameDayDog(Jacksonville, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The turn-off is the price, but I don't regret buying it. I keep it attached to a spare club. This aid helps me focus on a flat left wrist at the top of my backswing. Then, it helps me develop lag by remaining in contact with my forearm during my downswing. In the follow thru, it helps keep my swing on-plane by coming back in contact with my forearm.
I buy training aids & do drills to improve my game. After a few months with a product, I'll sell it on craigslist. I'll sell the Swingyde, when I stop playing golf.
Great toolMarch 23, 2010 Torrence(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm not going to be getting my Tour card anytime soon. I just like to go out and be fairly competitive with my friends. My swing has taken a turn for the worse. I bought Ben Hogan's book and it is great, but coupled with this tool, I was able to fix my swing. It gives me confidence to swing the club properly. Through muscle memory, I am able to go to the driving range and be able to fix aspects of my swing. I don't think it takes the place of lessons, but it helps with swinging if you already know the concepts and can practice with it. I use it in my living room.
Not as impressed as othersMarch 20, 2010 Mr. G. Cook 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I did not get as good a feed back from this product as I had hoped. I used it a few time and then sold it.
good productJune 8, 2009 F. B. Eckhoff(Fullerton, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My swing had deteriorated to the point I did not want to play. So I bought this product and a couple very good instruction manuals as well as a cheap hitting mat and some wiffle balls. The good news is that I am going to start playing again next week and I think my swing will be better than it ever was eventually.
While I do not think that the Swingyde itself solved my problems it was one of many building blocks in helping me understand and gain a feeling for a proper swing. For the price it is a good tool to have and one I will use occasionally for checking proper wrist hinge.
